Opis

Northern Kashubia is the most northerly region in Poland. The area is unique in terms of geographical diversity: Baltic Sea with cliffs, hills, valleys, rivers, lakes and even caves (Mechowska Cave). The most beautiful Baltic beaches, some of the cleanest and most valuable lakes in Poland, and the best lake fishery in northern Poland or the rivers flowing into the sea – all this makes Norda a genuine paradise for anglers.

THE ABC OF ANGLING

SAFETY RULES IN FISHING TOURISM

Fishing can be done from the beach or with waterG

equipment. We use boats in varying weather conditionsLGN and in unusual water areas due to underwater bouldersF A

and rocks. For the sake of your safety, we give someC O

recommendations and advice, the observance of which isB

E A

a necessary requirement for a successful expedition.

H TEDUI GG

LIN

1 Use buoyancy vests when fishing on a boat.

G

AN

2 Use safety vests and flashlights (e.g., head-AN

lamps) when fishing from the shore at

night.

3 Clothing and equipment should be adjust-

ed to skills and weather conditions.

4 Ban on boating while under the influence

of alcohol.

5 Check the weather forecast before setting out.

6 Never set sail alone.

7 Watch out for underwater obstacles.

8 If someone falls overboard, don't panic.

6

If one of the anglers falls overboard, the person remainingin the boat should proceed as follows:

• Try at all times to maintain eye contact with the person who has fallen out.

G

• Immediately put the boat in idle gear and turn the boat INL

so that the propeller does not endanger the castaway.

GN

• Once the person's position is established, make a turn F A

and approach the castaway from the leeward side.

C OB

• Put the boat in idle gear and help the mate get back into E A

the boat.

H TEDUI

9 Keep the boat in order.

GG

LIN

J Take a first aid kit with you (you are using sharp objects, G

AN

hence it is easy to get cuts).

AN

K Check before you leave: engine efficiency, fuel supply, charged batteries for navigation equipment

L Call the emergency number 112 in critical situations.

Amateur fishing in Poland is regulated by two laws: in inland waters – the Inland Fisheries Act, and in marine waters – the Marine Fisheries Act.

In order to fish on Polish inland waters, it is necessary to have a Fishing Card. It is a document valid for life, issued to adults and adolescents aged 14 and over by the district office competent for the place of residence. In order to obtain it, one must pass an exam on fishing regulations ( see the Inland FisheriesAct and the regulations issued to it).
